SALAMA and ADIB mark next phase of longstanding bancassurance partnership
Dubai, 11 August 2026: SALAMA and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) have marked the next phase of their longstanding bancassurance partnership, bringing together broader Life and Wealth capabilities to support the evolving financial needs of ADIB customers.
The partnership will support customers across protection, savings, education, retirement and long-term wealth planning, with SALAMA providing specialist Life and Takaful capability alongside ADIB’s distribution network.
The renewed proposition also brings together the wider capabilities of both organisations. Investment solutions for ADIB customers have been developed together with ADIB Capital, while SALAMA is investing in a new digital platform designed to simplify selected Life and Wealth journeys.
The digital journey will combine technology with personalised financial planning to reduce unnecessary steps, improve visibility and create a simpler experience for both customers and ADIB colleagues.
Speaking at the partnership event, Mohamed Ali Bouabane, Group Chief Executive Officer of SALAMA, said:
“This is not simply a return to where we were. We now have a stronger SALAMA, better technology and the combined capabilities of ADIB, ADIB Capital and SALAMA. It is an opportunity to build something better, stronger and much bigger than before.”
The partnership builds on a relationship between SALAMA and ADIB that spans many years. It also reflects SALAMA’s stronger financial position and continued focus on developing its Life and Wealth proposition through stronger distribution partnerships, digital capability and specialist customer support.

The partnership was marked at an event in Dubai attended by senior leaders and teams from SALAMA and ADIB.
